What We Collect
When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect your name, phone number, closest town, and the septic symptoms you selected. We also automatically collect standard web data including your IP address, browser type, the page URL you submitted from, and any marketing parameters present in the URL when you arrived (UTM tags, Google Click IDs such as gclid, wbraid, and gbraid, and Microsoft Click IDs).
How We Use It
Your name and phone number are used exclusively to contact you by phone or text about your septic inquiry. Marketing attribution data (UTMs, click IDs) is used to measure which advertising brings qualified inquiries. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
Tracking & Cookies
This site uses a small number of analytics and advertising trackers, including Google Ads conversion tracking, to measure which advertising channels drive qualified inquiries. Click IDs (such as Google's gclid) are forwarded to our database alongside your form submission for attribution purposes only. We do not use tracking pixels to build a behavioural profile of you across other websites.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (hosted in Canada / North America) and delivered to SeptiCure's team via email notification through standard email infrastructure. The data is accessible only to SeptiCure team members who handle customer inquiries.
How Long We Keep It
Contact information from inquiries is retained for as long as is reasonably needed to provide the service you requested, follow up on the inquiry, and meet legal or tax record-keeping obligations. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so within a reasonable timeframe unless we are required by law to retain it.
Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Alberta privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request that we delete your information
- Withdraw consent for us to contact you at any time
